San Rafael Family Oasis

This Marin County backyard was re-envisioned as a refuge for a young family. We developed an understated design that serves as the link between the various zones of activity. We updated the pool surround in a fresh, subtle palette, added a full outdoor kitchen, fire pit, putting green and children’s play area. Plants were chosen to enhance rather than block the view of Bay beyond. Over time, the space will be enveloped in plants, with striking views to the Bay.
