Healdsburg Mediterranean Garden

A grand staircase leads to the pool area from the home down a planted hillside.

Views of the Dry Creek Valley in Healdsburg set the backdrop for this home and landscape. The project included the addition of a new pool, spa, terraces for entertaining and a grand staircase leading from the main house down to the pool. Travel photos from Spain and Morocco were the inspiration for the tile patterns and color palette. The plant palette included the owner’s collection of succulents and a myriad of other drought tolerant and CA native plants. Other considerations for this project included fire protection and vegetation management around the home. A new water cistern was added to be used for irrigation and fire sprinklers.
